Well I've managed to wear out the original stock bed of my work truck. It's an 88 K3500 pushing close to 300k miles. I did swap to an 03 5.3L a couple years ago. The rear bed was busted up and rusted from years of abuse. I scored this flat bed for swapping a set of ball joints for a friend, bought the dump scissor and pump off of CL for $150 and now have to cut it down, make it pivot and replace the deck. Here is some of the mods, pivots etc. The piece in the lathe is one of the two 2.75" solid slugs for the bed side pivot for the dump scissor. [
