72 Chevelle

Not sure how much of a muscle car this will be but im working on it. 72 Chevelle 4 door, 350/350. Im building a 468 BBC for either this car or one of my trucks, 68 C10, 64 C10. I just got this Chevelle last weekend and have set the timing, carb, readjusted the valves, tinted the back windows,and put on my Weld Draglites on the back. Should have the fronts on next week, had to order more lug nuts.

Don't see many 4dr built chevelles, so that gets my vote!

I had a '72 Malibu ragtop back when I was a teenager with more hair than sense. Shoulda never sold it...

Drop it 3" to 4" all the way around

I will dropping the front, air shocks n the back. Making this one have a hot rod feel. Going back to Original Medium Blue with Stripes. Did some work to it yesterday, reset the floats, corrected the vacuum lines the previous owner did not know what he was doing with the lines or didnt take the time to do it right. Also put a new throttle bracket on it so all four barrels will open up now. Took it out and left a few peg leg black marks on the road. This one has some 3.08 gears and not the power im use to but it did leave a nice cloud of smoke. Hope to get my skinnys on it tomorrow.

With all the repro parts available it would be easy to make it a 2 door.There was guy around here years ago when chevelles were everywhere that used to do that.He would get the doors off a 2 door then move b pillar back.
I forgot the rest of it,but it can be done.[
4 doors are cool too.[dr I would grab one if I could get the chance.

Got my bumpers cleaned up today, they look pretty good. So far we like this one as a 4 door. Be easier for the teenagers to get in and out.



Also got the rest of the windows tinted. Found a local car club here in Marion, AR called the Delta Cruisers. They have a small cruise inn every monday night a 6:30pm across from the sonic. Also learned that there is a large Cruise inn on Thrusday nights in Barlett TN. About 30 mins from me.

I like the welds on it..reminds of the one I used to have, flat black 72 SS454..had 10's on the back and 3.5's up front..

2 doors or 4 doors, Chevelles are always cool.Love the paint too.[P[P

I have some skinnys for the front, should have them on next week sometime.

Put some scallops on today since im holding off till next year to paint. Also will be picking up a complete LT1 4L60E combo with stand alone ecu and harness next week.

Pulled the Draglites off and painted the rallies flat black. Put them back on and now will lower the back about 2". I also opted out on get that LT1 setup since work is slow right now. Damn election year.

This is a fun looking project. A friend of mine scored a 1970 buick 4dr from an auction. We painted it green with white GSX style stripe. Then we modified a set of badges to say "GSX+4" LOL! ton of fun for no money!

That sounds cool, I plan on painting this one back blue with white stripes and a white top.

Looks like a lot of fun! I wish i could stumble on a wagon for cheap!
