There were wood framed cars back in the early days. Dr. C would research this and file a report. Dang it.
I've thought about carving some Essex frame rails out of lambeams for an early speedster. Too old for any more projects though.

I remember seeing an old International Harvester pickup in an abandoned salvage years ago. As the wood frame rotted away, the panels had separated and were falling apart in different directions....
