Thanks Gang.:)
Going to be a few days before I get back on it. A friend is brining his 1 ton dually into the shop for brake work on Thursday night so we will move it then.
Going to turn my focus on the wooden boat project for a few days.
Torchie.

On to the rear window/sail panel area

I have talked about how different the Dodge is from it's GM/Ford rivals of the same era. Here is an example.
I need to cut off the trunk hinge brackets to be able to move the bottom of the rear window in and lower the window as well. To do that I have to remove the trunk springs.
The springs are coil with no hooks on either end.
They have a rod the runs up thru them and is pinned at either end of the hinge bracket. They are under pressure when the lid is closed.
Pulled the pin on the forked end and then pried that end out of the spring channel first. That way it was a controlled release of pressure.
Then pulled the pin out of the other end and the whole spring/rod unit came out.
The plan is to weld some support to the hinge brackets and the underside of the cat walk panel the cut the end of the hinge brackets releasing the rear window and the remaining package tray.
Keep on keeping on....
