Perfect timing on this topic for me. Was literally just thinking about all this for my build. I join in with appreciation for the input in folks that have been-there-done-that.

400- Sounds like there are specific visual areas where the aesthetics of copper line are wanted- which I totally get. [S If line path only was visually exposed could you run DOT line 'through' copper line? Size of both may be an issue. But then if the connection is exposed there is that.... [S Hmmmmm...

Party on!

I get what's sno is saying about safety and functionality. I've seen some pretty sketchy stuff not even involving air ride that people drive. I believe as long as you have the line secured to each other and the frame well you shouldn't have any issues. I ran half in copper line on my very first rat rod. Everything was soldered or screwed together. My 67 Cadillac had copper line in the trunk and then it converted the polyline. There are many ways to skin a cat. As long as it's done with some thought put into it and not just haphazardly thrown together I think you'd be okay

Alright. I started the motor tonight! She ran great. I took a first start video but I'm not sure how to upload that. Since last post I've switched out part of the copper air lines to plastic lines and that has helped. When left overnight the car settles half way down on the pax side so not terrible but still have a small leak to chase down. I've started chopping the doors and am working on installing them. I had the driveshaft lengthened and that is installed. Still have a list but it is getting shorter!

Yes, pictures!

I bought a rock guard for the radiator but it won't fit between the grill surround and the headlights
Instead of moving the headlights I think I'll try installing it inside the radiator surround. Something that should have been easy is going to take me hours!

Alright! Here she is out of the garage for the first time. I drove it around my driveway too! Still have a lot to do but it moved under its own power! Wish I could post a video cause it sounds awesome!

It's obvious you put a lot of thought into the design of your car. It paid off! A true one of a kind. Nice, high quality work too.
