Not sure if this has been brought up. I have been thinking about aname for this 27 since I made the plunge in this rat rod lifestyle.
Had lots of ideas but like every rig I have ever owned or operated it had a name.
So with this being said I think it would be fun to see what people have named ther rat or not rat:cool:

As for me I’m leaning towards Slung....

Who’s next??

We actually name all of our builds, don't know why. We just do

My first sedan was "franken-sedan" since it was brought back from the dead

We name our stuff because they are not just machines or projects to us. They all have a personality.
The wooden boat project is called the "Y-Knot" by me because it will have a Y-block engine and, of course being wood, the knot part is self explanatory.LOL
At this point the Dodge is un named other then calling it the "Beast" when I have to push it around.
Other then telling me it needed a chop and a section it hasn't told me it's name yet. Probably angry that I haven't worked on it for weeks.[ddd

Not very creative here. My '27 Chrysler tub was known as "The Tub". All my current cars called "The (fill in car brand here)" The exception is my dragster which is known as the "Silver Bullet".

My life long best friend Leo, now deceased, had a '41 Ford known as "Little Lemon" It was his first car. Sixty years later he was terribly crippled and I built a '25 Dodge coupe for him. It was his last car. I had "Little Lemon II" lettered on the back.

I have been thinking about naming the roadster pickup I'm now building. It will be my last build.

Don't generally name them but this one I did ... "Sheets & Giggles" 'cause it was built just to have fun.

Sheets & Giggles is a great name and easy to remember. Drag strip announcers must like it a lot.

My '57 150 that will be a two door shortly is going to be a gasser and will have "LONG HARD RIDE" on the quarter panel. Fitting since I have had the car for 45 years, though I have not actually worked on the car for the whole time. Plus I like the Marshall Tucker Band.

I don't name all my builds, but have named a few. My '56 Plymouth Belvedere gasser-inspired street monster was called "War Pony", My Toronado-based trike was "Infidel", My first fwd-based trike was "Purple Jesus" (named after a concoction of grape juice and grain alcohol) and the second was "Zomby Woof" from a Zappa song. My '56 Ford I'm building now I named "Heathen" because it is blasphemous to Ford purists and "traditional" rodders alike.

Nice rigs:cool:

I called my car the "Daytripper" because with an open top & a very short windscreen... a short day trip was about all you wanted to do at highway speed... the sun & wind can really add up! This was at Houston Autorama 2006! [ddd:eek:

I actually registered mine as a 1928 Hennway, since the body is all custom with no production or OEM sheetmetal. The name is my spin on the one and only Norm Grabowski's 70's truck creation he named the "Henweigh" - the joke in the name is a little more obvious, that was Norm...
My Rat 55 was less subtle with the name right on the tailgate :D

Our Suzuki was name by our kids when they were small as Suzi. I think some of that was they couldn't say Suzuki. We had a black one also that was the Black Pearl. Current Ford pickup was simply Racetruck but a guy at work calls my prospector because of my beard so now it is the Prospector. Jim

Had a 70 blazer that was named forest..
It’s was 2wd forest green not gump with a black top.
Still kick myself in the a$$ for selling that thing

Probably best I don't name my rides. I named our dog Chicken Pot Pie and one our cats Beater Brush.

EDIT: a few more cat names - Pylon. Parakeet, Fibonacci Number, F1, Turkey, Dot Matrix Printer. We go through cats fairly quick.
