After taking her motorcycle for a little test run (130+ km) last weekend I came to the realization that I simply could not let her be the only one in our home having that much fun. So ..... this 1400cc Suzuki Intruder joined our family today!

What Tripper and OI said, Have fun and be safe. The boy deer are looking for mates now so be alert for that.

Congrats on the new rides.[cl. Remember 1/2 the cars want to run you over. 1/4 don't care. 1/8 are on the phone and not paying attention. and the rest are just plain stupid, ignorant, morons and you will be fine. This is how I have to ride nowadays. Been riding on the street since 1984 and the people only get worse. Since cell phones came out it got a lot scarier.

Thanks for all your comments guys. I realized as I was riding the other day that it has been almost 30 years since I had a motorcycle on the street ... but was happy to discover I hadn't forgotten how to ride one :D.

I got my first street bike back in 1970 and rode steadily on the street until about 1992 and drag raced bikes until 1995. Only had one bad accident in 1977 (dumb blonde in a big Chevy got 2 bikes in one blow) that shattered my knee and almost cost me my left leg but a very good doctor managed to save everything except the knee cap.

My wife and I are looking forward to some nice rides next summer.

A few subtle mods and now it has the stance I like. Going to be a long winter waiting to get this thing out of the shop.

Wife’s birthday today all I got her was a set of gauges for her car and I got her mufflers for Christmas 0B5458CE-BD03-48CD-AE43-E8691517E192.jpg

In this time of isolation we've managed to go for a couple of rides. I put my wife's bike back to stock configuration .. luckily almost all the parts came with the bike when we bought it. Gotta say we are both enjoying our rides!

Bought another one! 2005 Yamaha Road Star 1700. That 3774 km converts to 2345 miles! [cl Not even broken in yet! Guess I'll have to put the Suzuki up for sale in the spring.
