Drive shaft clearance

I need some input on how much room to give the drive shaft. I'm going to work on the floor and tunnel and I want to hold the top of the tunnel down as low as possible.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks

Glad to see ya postin again [cl
Pops, is there enough clearance between the panhard and the drivers side upper bar, when the bags are deflated ?

Looks like you've gotten quite a bit done to me [P

You need to run your suspension through its travel in the rear to see where that driveshaft would be if the suspension was fully on the bump stops or with the bags deflated if you are running them in the rear.

Then leave yourself at least an inch above, in my opinion is bare bones min...

Thanks Old Iron. I think I've finally got things going in the right direction with my Mom and Dad.

Just need to get my head right again. What better way than by working on this master piece (or whatever you might call it)?

The picture is deceiving, here's another.

That's how I started setting it up but it got to looking way close.
After thinking about some, it can't get any closer when it down on the stops and I'll probably never run it that low at more than an idle.

Thanks for the reply.
Your rides looking fine. Stay after it!

Progress

I got a little more done this weekend.
Battery installed.
Rusted out floor cut out and framing started to replace.
Drive shaft installed.
Can't steer it or stop it but it moves.

I hope to get the floor finished and start on the steering this week.
We're having fun now!!

I left the gate open and this is what came in!

I "drove" it outside so we could get Billy's '27 up on the lift for a little welding. What a kool little truck.

No brakes or steering so it was a short ride. It was a ride tho.

Took a couple of outside shots and a couple of our two trucks together.
Two totally different styles.

I'm trying man, there's just no end to it.
I'd love to just go to the shop, open the door and go.
Thanks for posting the video. You need to hire out to document my
Build so I can get finished.

Wrong parts

I ordered some parts for my steering from Speedway and received a tach and two driveshaft u joints. Neither of which I need.

Two more steps backwards.
