Default WHAT Transmission is this???

Okay, I pulled a motor and transmission from a mid 80's pick-up, still need to verify the VIN....

It looks like a turbo 350 long shaft and also has the vacuum plug on the passenger side of the transmission body.

It also looks to have a plug to a 700R-4 transmission on the driver side

I have on this one and I'm not getting anywhere....

Truck had one of those wonderful electronic quad-ra-jets....

Any ideas?

Well it looks like a 12" tail, but ck it. The 12's are very rare and not wanted. Good luck. Tobby

in picture #2 there is a domed looking cover. there should be a spring wire that goes in the hole above the cover and in a hole on the bottom side then slips over the cover to snap in the hole in center of the cover to keep it from coming off. i had one come off at a stop sign because it didn't have the lock wire and dumped all the fluid on the spot.

They did not use the wire clip on the 350C trans.....
But you better pull the governor to check for a stripped gear and stuck valve.
