Made the garnish moldings for the rear quarter windows today, 1/4 the size of the door ones but twice the work because of the deep set rounded shape of the window.

Moving on to the running boards, got the driver side done, frame for the other started. 2x2x 1/8 angle iron frame, 1x2 struts mount to brackets on the frame, plus a third mount ties up to the cab floor structure so they are nice and steady. Couple of 2x8s put the 'board' in running board, held on with screws on the underside, I don't like the look of wood boards but they make a nice solid step, 3/16" ribbed rubber mat to cover them.

Mounted the F100 gas tank and welded a couple mount tabs on the corners of the frame to bolt on a trailer hitch.

Learning a new skill - MIG welding brass with silicon bronze wire. After stubbornly trying to fudge it with the 75/25 steel mix gas, and creating horrific bird poop welds, I broke down and went and got an Argon tank. Still on the upward part of the learning curve, but I managed to stick together the rear window molding made from 1"x1/4" brass flat bar. Some finishing to do but its one piece! It will get glued to the glass and I'll just give it a brushed finish.
