Progress

I got new brake shoes, wheel cylinders and axle seals done today.
Hooked up the E-brake and got it functioning.
Figured out the power steering by laying the motor home box down and rotating it 1/4 turn to run the Pittman arm horizontally.
Drilled the pittman and the steering arm to use 3/4" hiems joints.
Just have to plumb the pump to the box and I'm going to drive this thing to the post office tomorrow!

Can I see a shot a little further away? we have similar setups on the steering shaft, I want to see how you cleared the header, and the U-joint area at the firewall.

Looking good Pops!

I'll get a picture posted in the am, too lazy tonight to go out and take it.

Thanks Pops, appreciate it!
Looks like that V8 doesn't come over as far as mine, I think I have a bit less space...

I may end up using heims as well for the steering, we will see... I was thinking about welding up the toyota end on the ford arm, but we will see...

Looks like your setup is good and strong, is that a collapsing steering shaft?

Yes it is a telescoping shaft. I will put a bolt through it after I check it out good on the road. The power steering worked perfect.

I took this pig to the post office this morning. Everything's good.
It's awfully light on the rear end. Yes I did break the duals loose.
Kinda scary with the e-brake for stopping. Real brakes are next on the to do list.

Needless to say I'm stoked!!!

Yes brakes are our friend!! Just don't have juice brakes yet.
I've got a 90degree master cylinder/booster bracket ordered from Kugel.
I was hoping it would show up today, but no such luck.
This thing is gunna be fun.

Still dealing with my Dads declining health. Parkinsons is a terrible disease.

Have managed to get a little done on the Dodge.
Got the grill finished up and mounted solid to the radiator support.
Got new pads and calipers on the front axle.
Turned the rotors.
Got the 90 degree under dash master set up mounted.

Just need to get Brake lines run and bleed the system and I'll
have real brakes.

Plans for next week are the 3" exhaust out the rear and finish the
the floor and tunnel.

You got that right Skull. If I didn't have this project to take my mind off things I would be a babbling fool I'm afraid.

Will you have to build a shield to cover the booster and master or, is it high enough not to show ?

Hey Old Iron,
I got it tucked up high enough that you can't see it sitting in the seat.
This set up worked out really well cause I had no room with the starter on the driver side.

Here's a couple more pics.
