I've been beating my head against the wall working on an 83 CJ7. I did a 4.3 L V6 swap with Holley Terminator EFI system on it. 700R4 transmission took this place of the stick that was in it. This is been a project that has been haunting me for a while. It's a family friend so you all know how that goes. Sometimes that's just as bad as working for family. Since I got the Jeep put together I've been struggling with valve adjustment and startup issues. Last night I diagnosed the brand new distributor I bought with junk. So I replaced it with another one and it fired right up. I got the valves adjusted or so I thought and decided to take it for a test drive. I didn't make it back home. This engine was built by a shop about 45 minutes from me because I did not have time to do it, now I'm rebuilding the top end

The number three hole decided to eat the camshaft and Chucky pushrod out of it going down the road. I did my cam breaking following manufacturers procedures and added zinc additive to the oil. All for nothing. Overnight at a cam and lifter set up along with a gasket kit so hopefully I can get this pile of crap out of my shop this weekend

My new old Schuler fly-press was delivered today... Main use will be hot forging but I`m sure I`ll find some other fun things for it
