I have a 1938 Chevy doghouse, fenders and hood and need to find a narrow radiator that will fit but still cool efficiently for the Chevy 305 motor I'm using. It needs to fit inside when the hood halves are shut. Anyone know where to find something cheap that'll work?

In my opinion, the mustang radiator is a bit small. I know a couple guys running it and cooling issues are typical on hot days. I was planning on running it and am glad I went another route.

I'm running this turned sideways for my 455 Buick and it works great: http://www.northernfactory.com/HIGH_PERFORMANCE/SEARCH_BY_VEHICLE/PLYMOUTH/BARRACUDA/1971/205071

Check out the applications on their website, they show the dimensions and have a lot of different radiators. http://www.northernfactory.com/HIGH...S/MUSCLE_CAR_RADIATORS/FORD_-_MOPAR_RADIATORS

The '65-'66 V8 Mustang radiator is MORE than adequate for a SBC, especially with the proper fan. Not to mention it has side mounting flanges that are easily adaptable to almost any configuration.

$135.99 from Autozone - Order it at the store with no shipping charges. Here ya go... http://www.autozone.com/cooling-heating-and-climate-control/radiator/ford/mustang/1966/8-cylinders-4-7l-4bl?filterByKeyWord=radiator&fromString=search

I did a lot of work on this truck - The Mustang radiator has cooled a mild 429 Ford big block for over 8 years. It is in a open engine compartment which helps, but it has been driven hard on many 90+ degree days with zero issues.
