The Plan: Keep body as is, S10 Chassis able to lay frame on airbags, LS1 engine (I know it's not very rat rod like but I've always wanted to fiddle with one).

The S10 Frame

As you can see I modified it so it fit the cab a little better. Tubular upper control arms, dehumped lowers, air lift brand 2600 series bags, triangulated 4 link in the rear, fancy wheels.

Interior & more body stuff, the bed hump isn't going to be wood but rather made of aluminum. I plan on covering this all with a tonneau cover once I find a suitable old ratty tarp or something. Nifty folding seat eh?

Wires wires and more wires, I honestly have removed about 30lbs of wires that weren't needed, enough to fill up one of my tubs. The ecm was later moved in the cab.

Air tank & compressors

very nice indeed... i like the new running boards.. gives it a very nice look when its laid out...

It's not often that you find a truck that complete with such perfect patina.......but you my friend have found it [cl[cl We'll let the running boards and tailgate slide but if you mess with the rest of it or go smearing paint on it, a bunch of us will have to come over there and....

........well, you get the picture :D

Great looking project, I'm loving it [cl[cl[P

I love the look you have here. And just keep this in mind, if hot rodders would have had LS engines back then they would all have them. Those things make crazy HP and if you have it setup right it will give you many miles of trouble free service.

Super nice truck man!

Truck turned out awesome! You don't see too many of those tricked out, especially with a vette motor, nice work!

Mac.
