I'm brand new to this site so I'm still figuring out how its features work. Thanks for the interest in my project and look forward to keeping the forum updated. A few of the details of the project:350ci twin turbo motor, tube chassis, cantilever rear suspension, '49 Dodge front beam, and i'll have 20"-22" staggered wheels.

A few more pics

Love how you set up the rear suspension there, fully air-bagged. What is the ride height when fully aired up, if you don't mind me asking you there.

Right now (and I'm not sure if I'm going to change it, or build the front suspension to compliment it), the bottom of the rear frame rails goes up just under 24". I don't think I'll chop the top. I'm 6'2" and will enjoy the room on road trips. This could change at any minute though.lol

You fab work on that rear suspension looks great, but I'm not an air ride guy so I'm stilll trying to figure out how it works..

cool project

Thanks everybody! The best way I can describe the cantilever rear is to compare it to the mechanics of something along the lines on vice grips. I've been a Minitrucker for a long time,so cantilever rears are becoming more common. I knew on my first rat I wanted to keep the cab simple but the chassis complex. I've got some cool stuff up my sleeve, so stay tuned. I hope to unveil it at the Columbus, Oh Goodguys show(I've got my work cut out for me:).

I'm finally replacing the bulky temporary plates on top of the air bags with the permanent tubular bars. These new pieces will be a lot less obstructive to viewing around the bags.
