ok this old WW 2 De Haviland Mosquito, was a real barn find ..

a Couple of years ago John Smith passed away.. he had the "mozzie parked in a shed along with a p51 Mustang + couple of others. FB

the Mozzie was rescued and reassembled .. ( i was lucky enough to see 2 flatbeds hauling the wings over to the Omaka areodrome)

today was her first outing probably will never fly again, due to the expense of having to redo the wood/canvas.. Quicker than most fighters able to carry a payload similar to a B17 !.. one of 5 left in the world whose Merlins still sing oh boy did they sing !!

ive followed this since its rescue ,, link to news article

Thanks for sharing. I love those old planes. Don`t know much about them tho.

In a few weeks there will be a wwII Avro Lancaster doing a ceremonial fly-by a couple miles from here in a village where 5 of them came down during the war.
Been there before and I will try to get some video with sound this time.
The ceremony is very impressive ( to me at least) but the sound of the 4 v12`s along with it is bone chilling.

I especially like the '46-'47 Ford trucks, as I have had one 'off and on' for 60 years. I also have a two ton for parts.
