There's just something about a small block Chevy with orange valve covers and rams horn manifolds

It's a 305 dressed out as a 283. If I had a pair of rebuilt 283 power pack heads that would have sealed the deal. I do have the heads but am too cheap to have them done.

If this roadster becomes a favorite, then I'll do it.

A bit under the weather today, but I did work on door latch mounting. Got a pair of Speedway T
Bucket door latches.

Also, the furnace broke last night so I was cutting firewood just in case it wasn't an easy fix. It was.

I have a set on my bench that I'm going to have redone and get the bigger 305 valves put in. They're for my 283 that is on the engine stand.

Had to tilt her to do some welding on the bottom. Squirt a little primer around. Body will go back on the chassis in a couple of days. Found another pic of what this thing should look like.

All the welding is done on the bottom. Speedway door latches installed. Time to put the body on the chassis. That's what I did. Lots of little assembly jobs and a bit of fabrication left. Thinking it needs a hood top.

Thanks for following along.
