I couldn't get my head wrapped around it either, If I had of followed my initial plan of making two straight cuts to take out the 14 inches I would have had a real problem lining everything up

You bet, there is only 3/16 of an inch difference, when I install the box I will shim to match.

Yesterday was a real busy day, decided I had thought enough about welding the box back back together and got after it. Still have to take out 5.5 inches behind the rear tires.
