'41 Dodge pickup...318 swap???

Has anyone swapped an LA 318 into a '39-'47 Dodge,Plymouth or Fargo pickup using the original straight axle?

I hear that the major pain is that there is gonna be a steering box and starter interference issue??

If memory serves I think the steering box is about midway between the cowl & radiator and shouldn't pose a problem.

Only problem might be header clearance depending on what type you use!

They will be fabbed from some aftermarket set
