...with a buddy of mine, one of the things I ended up with is this set of wheels:

15" x 14" Ansen Sprint rears

Polished 15" x 3.5" Fenton Gyro's on new 6.00-15 Goodyear Power Streak bias plies...

According to all the hot rod magazines, Pro Street is making a big come back, thinking I might build one out of one of my '57 Chevy's, and use these wheels

Oh God, I hope not.

Me too but I think it already has, just like when we thought karaoke was dead some dumb drunks dragged it back out,lol.
I do think the newer generation of "pro stock" are more drivable. Before they were just magazine fodder and fairgrounds cruisers that couldn't make it 5 miles on their own. But I'm known to vocalize my sentiments on any kind of fad street cars, including certain ratrods and gassers.
