We having even really said goodbye to the last project and we roll on ( drag in) the next.

1948 GMC long box. Mustang II with coil overs and an 8.8 with coil overs. Mid 80s 454 and a turbo 400 for the go.

Started today by stripping the motor, trans and axles. The front clip parts have been here for a few days and the rear links showed up today.

Let's get started!

Yeah it's nice when you have a customer who's willing to put out
for the part's needed to do the job right....lookin'good LB50 [cl[cl

you are braver than me for that reason. I get calls to do customer trucks and I turn them down, customers usually have unrealistic expectations on TIME and especially COST!. :)

looks like it will be a good project, I love the early jimmies.

I am upfront with them I tell them how long and a rough price. It's my way or the high way, at least in the quality of stuff we use. I'm not going to build junk. I do what they want unless it is a safety issue. So far it had been good. I'm sure I'll have problem customers lol

Been slacking a little bit on posting evidently. Frame is done fully welded cleaned up and off to powder coat. Drop the wheels off also. Which means we built the motor mounts and transmission mount. I went by yesterday to pick up the cab that was all supposed to be clear coated with permalac, but just like the customers engine builder is body guys suck period they've had the truck for longer than I have had the chassis and they have not touched it period so we had some words and needless to say I have the whole thing now period I will be finishing the clear coat as well as we going through the motor again period like I needed something else to do. I'm still trying to have this truck done by the 1st of September. Guy wants to use it for his daughter's wedding

Lots done lately! Motor is now the correct color, headers are on, frame is back from powder coat, rust in bed front repaired, fire wall done, motor and trans installed, rear axle, cab and box. Then headed out to the exhaust shop!

Nothing worse then shops that don't do what's promised. Truck is looking good now. You don't see a lot of those long beds. [cl
