Test stand looks really good JB, you may have to start attending meetings as well. :D:D[P[P

I don’t know what you’re talking about. I swear I don’t have a problem and can stop at any time if I want to.

Yeah, engine stand is a beast. Most is built out of 1/4” tube, plate, and channel. Most of it was steel I had lying around left over from other projects so I don’t have much into it but I’ll make a pretty penny from it.

All the fabrication is done on the test stand. Waiting on the tach to come in to finish the wiring then it’ll go off to its owner. Had some spare time left so decided to build the alternator bracket for the Y block so I could use a common GM alternator. Still need to cut the adjustment slot but I figure I can do that tomorrow.

So, been working on the alternator bracket the last few days. Ended up cutting another one out and using the previous as a template(it will be stashed away as a “prototype”.) After putting it all together I thought it needed something else so I decided to accentuate it with a bit of copper. Once I had it completely covered, I decided it needed something else to really make it pop. So I cut in 1” from the edges and drilled holes for some sickle rivets. I’m really diggin the way it turned out now. I think it’ll really tie the interior and the trunk into the exterior. Now, because everything else now looks so pretty, I had to paint the crank pulley. So it’s currently drying. Might even have to paint the water pump pulley I’m gonna wait to see how it looks against the crank pulley first though.

It's like a snowball rolling down hill.......pretty up one part, you see another that needs something, then another, then another......[ddd
That's one reason it takes me so long to get anything done!:D

New brakes came in. Should allow this thing to stop very well. Also gave it enough of a difference in wheel and tire size to get the front off the ground. Won’t be doing any off roading in this thing but should cruise down the highway just fine. Now just waiting on the heads to get back from the machine shop to get the engine back together. Also got a drive shaft in so got it cut and welded. Gonna drop it off to get balanced in great falls when I go to pickup the heads.

So machine shop called this afternoon. One of the heads is junk. And the other needs seats and guides(like I thought.) They’ve got some good core 312 heads so they’re gonna build up the one I sent them and sell me one of their cores. Totals gonna be about 925.00 but I knew it wasn’t gonna be cheap.

Anyhow, decided that we were gonna need cup holders so made a small console for those.
