my local metal yard dont carry thin wall pipe, so I ordered some 2.5 inch exhaust pipe and the bends that I want from summit racing

im going to do a y-pipe style exhaust but im going to make the y-pipe crossover behind the transmission

I ordered a trans cooler with -10AN fittings on it, I also ordered the adapter fitting to convert it down to -6AN

I want to use a coffin muffler but I have to wait a few weeks before I can order one, my wife is starting to notice I'm spending a lot of $$ on the project, so I need to slow it down for a few weeks

but by the time I get the exhaust built up, it will be a few weeks from now

but as a back up plan, I have a 40 series flow master muffler

Yeah my wife caught on to a few EXTRAS...

From time to time...Never fails.... only the bottom line...lol... build looks likes it's going great...[P

injectors with the fuel rails are on the motor,

I put the fuel line adapters on, that converts the lines to -6 AN

and I started to build a mount set up for the 87 suburban fuel tank

its a monster of a tank but whatever, it was free, so im going to use it

tomorrow I will finish up the support bars for the bottom of the tank

and figure out how im going to mount it to the frame behind the axle

Is there an advantage to using the shorter LS3 injectors ?

yes and no

I got them for a awesome price

and stock ls3 injectors are 42 lbs, I think the stock 5.3's are 22 or 24lbs,

so when I cam up the motor, I will be good on my fuel system

exhaust parts came in the post

fuel fittings and lines came in,

im missing two fittings for the trans cooler, but the lines are in
those fittings are said to ship on Friday,
not a big deal, its going to be a few weeks before I need them anyways

tomorrow I have to finish mounting the fuel tank rack to the frame

and I want to start building the exhaust system
that will probably take most of next week

and I started to build the fuel filter mount,
that will be done tomorrow

ones the tank is in, I can start running fuel lines, to and from

I got a few weeks worth of work in parts that just showed up,

tomorrow I plan to go see the mini and find out how much longer the body shop will have the car,

I have to plan the 37 out around the mini getting back

the mini doesn't have any windows in it right now,
and I need to order the front side window seals, inner and outer

The 37’s y-pipe by joa kwin, on Flickr

y-pipe has bungs for the 02 sensors and uses v-band clamps

I still need to add a hanger at the end of the y pipe, I have to go buy some rod and bend it up
but I need to get a rubber hanger, I think autozone has something that will work
