I like those little miget racers, but it is just another hobby I dont need to get into.:) I would like to make one street legal and use it as a daily driver. could probably get some good fuel economy sense most of the time they run motorcycle engines and they dont weigh that much

Are you wanting static or on the ground ?

Static drop I'd go with drop spindles and lowering springs in the front, should get around 5 or so. Flip kit the rear or shackles and re-arch the springs would level it out depending on how much arch you take out. Air ride or hydraulics can get it on the ground, you're only limited by the depth of your pocket. My buddy has a bagged crew cab Dodge on 24's semi rims with low profile tires that still tows a 40 foot enclosed with no problems. It would require some cutting however !! [;) [;) [;)

Hope that helps

I got this 88' International cab over truck i am parting out and it has 4 air bags on the rear suspension. I was thinking for putting 2 air bags in the rear and I dont know if I can fit them in the front or not. I dont know how low I want the truck yet, because I often find my self driving out in fields and other places. It just makes me mad that it isnt 4x4, so I have to lower it I guess. I wonder if I can just cut the coils in the front and get it lower and still have an okay ride. got any pictures of your buddy's rig? how much money are those wheel adapters to run 10 hole wheels? do the adapters come with both hub pilot and bud wheel type bolts?

Cutting coils on old springs will give a crappy ride. Being 2WD you can buy upper and lower cups for bags in the front, almost a bolt-in set-up. I think I have some build pics of the truck, I'll check and see. The adapters are around 800 or so, not sure what comes with them. I've seen them on Ebay a little cheaper, seen an entire used set-up, adapters, wheels and tires, lugs for under 3k, just need to do some shopping. There are a ton of bagged duallys out there, google for images. There are a couple companies that make " bolt-on " 22's that dont need the adapters, not sure who they are but have seen them.

Here is my '41 Dodge. I want to figure out how to put a 318 onto the original straight axle frame. It might really be a pain with the steering location though...
It will never see paint unless you count a light coat of WD 40 every now and then!
