Larry, is that the run where he bent the front axle?

Very likely Bob. I think he's on his forth or fifth axle now! There is the story of the epic thrash to build and change the axle in the pits at Meltdown!

The Model A coupe pic, notice how small the contact patch is. Not much slick on the track and still a big wheel stand.

Wow! Dr C, A '55, a '56 and an early 'Vette. BTW, the 'Vette ran at the Fall Out a month ago. 2 1/2 seconds quicker than my junk.

Here's synchronized wheelies from yesteryear. (No glue in those days)

Great shot, Bob. You know I'm fascinated with '60s drag racing and slingshot dragsters especially. [ddd

.

The full body fuelers were works of art but I like the no nonsense look of bare pipe. I liked the excitement of real clutches, smoking slicks, moderate wheel bases, no track prep and no wheelie bars.

More good pics, Doc. I think the Barracuda is in New Zealand. The Charger has the brackets but no wheelie bars and the three window has a 301 inch sbc and is a strong runner.

Thanks guys.

Bob, the Barracuda and several other pics I've collected are from Willowbank Raceway - City of Ipswich, Queensland Australia. :)
