I've always had a soft spot for the Cadillac flathead V-8. From a visual standpoint, the idea of having the exhaust come from the top of the engine would be inpressive with a "band of snakes" set of headers. I would think the shear weight of the motor (compared to the Ford flathead V-8) would have been a major set back to keep it from catching on with the hot rodders back in the day. I have no knowledge of lower end strength or breathing capability, so I assume that it was the weight. I believe the factory exhaust manifolds were porcelin coated in OEM form.
In any case, there are few around today would would know what it is when they see it. Thanks for posting the pictures of this behemouth. I remember them well.

Still crazy after all these years!
Front mounted blowers run off a Potvin drive. I never learned much about Mr. Potvin other than he made camshafts in the early days. He didn't get famous like some of the other early speed parts inventors.

Look at the gear drive for the cam and it is a 90 degree V
22 , I may be wrong but that looks like a Hispano suiza engine
