So after finding this one in South Carolina, the work begins..staring out as a pretty much complete car , less door pads and head liner, running and driving... plans under way are: Out with the 6cy,3spd,torque tube rear end.....In 70 Nova 10 bolt, Th350,LS6 crate motor with carb, Disc brakes, 4" blocks out back and coils cut in the front, new wiring new king pins, idler, shocks, ect...here are a few pics of the progess so far....up next is exhaust, found that the manifolds off of a 2011 camaro will work perfect with a little modification....

So a little further along after the weekend...New King Pins installed and the front disc brake conversion complete less flex hoses...the ECI brakets are a direct bolt on.... ad some donated rotors, calipers and pads....and we have the disc brake swap for just over $200...

You got this in South Carolina? Why are there Canadian plates on it? Did you drive it for a bit before deciding what to do with it?
I think my next build (if I EVER get done with my first) will be a 50's sedan with a full drivetrain and brake swap. I don't know WHY the heck I thought it would be easier to hodge podge a bunch of parts together to make a full truck. Dummy. Having to re engineer everything is very time consuming :/

Very nice, love the 54 body, looks like that motor is supposed to be there!

It IS supposed to be there. GM just didn't have the right guy on staff to build the LS motor back then :D

Been busy but here are a few update pics......

Hi MADSCI, boy, you started with a good solid car. Good planning. You'll notice that I'm not ranting this time about you putting a Chev in your hot rod. It's O.K. to use a Chev in a Chev. Did you think about putting a 5.0 litre or a 360 Magnum in there, even a little while?:D;)
Keep on tinkering.
