Plugging away on the truck, nothing very picture worthy. Wiring is all buttoned up, the motor turns over nicely, but I'm still waiting on parts for the air cleaner/intake plumbing - so no MAF installed yet. Another car showed up in the meantime, and so I've been busy on that. I'll start another build thread just to keep this one a little cleaner.

Installed the radio delete plate, speaker grille and glove box today. I'm happy with how it's looking now!

Thanks guys! I'm very happy with the paint match of the grilles with the gauge faces.
I put the front half of the headliner in this morning...worked until my neck and arms couldn't take it any longer! I used some aluminum flashing to hold the window seal open and it worked well.

Neat idea.[cl[cl

I've been busy with some random work through the shop, but finally found some time this afternoon to put the back half of the headliner in....with some most excellent help I must say!

Looks great, Bill!

Your timing is impeccable. Just recently, I've been researching headliners and different methods, so I'm curious how you did yours.

.

Thanks everyone, my neck and shoulders are still sore this morning.

Doc, I guess you could say I cheated with the headliner - I bought the cardboard replacement kit for the early AD truck - mine is a two piece headliner with a fixed center bow. I had my buddy (who does glass and interiors) glue the brown leather (leatherette?) to the cardboard before installing it. The front piece tucks under the front window rubber and then gets pinched when you fasten the center bow screws into the roof rib. The rear slides into a deep groove on the rear of the center bow and then it gets pinched against the rear inner cab by the rear bow, which screws in place with exposed screws.

I'm not sure that answers your question...

Finally received my air cleaner piping, so it's all done up. Just need to finish my rad overflow bottle bracket and I think it's time for a test fire.

Haha, I need a helper like that. Can you loan her out for a while ?

Headliner looks great, and they are a bear to do, working upside down and sideways.
