Congratulations on a new building. You know it won't be big enough, they never are. Are you going to put a bathroom in it?[cl[cl

Just leave the back open where you can keep extending it.
..., don't have to tell you, it's one of the best moves you can make.
Go ahead and figure on a lift. They are getting down where they
are really affordable.

Thgought I had more posted yesterday. But, guess not. Here's the slab being poured & smoothed,,,

I had a 24 x 26 steel building put up last year. A couple of friends and myself, framed the slab and then had it poured. Then the crew came with the building on a trailer, all in pieces, not prefabbed. From start to finish was only 3 hours. I was just amazed at how fast all that went together.

who did you buy from? been looking but really haven't seen anything i really wanted yet. the reason i ask is i tryed to find them on the net but couldn't find any by that name.

Had Action Buildings out of Phenix City do this one. Took a couple of weeks to get the building done but, at the time they had a mess of work going on on Ft Benning so I guess I was doing OK.

I wish mine would go up that quick! :D

I didn't see any steel or expansion joints in that base. Is it just 4" of concrete poured over soil? Maybe I'm just a pessimist, but I'd be a little worried about a 35 x 40 sheet of concrete that big cracking and leaving little steps to trip over.

Looks like 4" over stone and poly, joints look to be cut in after the pour.
Temps and quakes not a problem in Ala.

I'm not seeing any stone going down, just soft soil, but I'm pretty sure the guys laying it probably know more about concrete than I do.

Looks to be a nice quiet locale, no nosey/noisy neighbours peering in from all sides.:D

The slab is 4" fiberglass reinforced concrete over stone & poly. Joints were cut in after pouring.

I'm in a real nice & quiet area of our county. 3.2 acres with a horse pasture about 100 feet behind the garage, plenty of trees on one side & very few neighbors to complain. :D
