I poured paint inside the the large tube. After i drained it and the paint dried i split the tube and put ot over the smaller tubing on the the wheel. I will use some SS wire ties around each side of the spokes to help keep it together as well as adding a bit of splash.lol Now if i could only find my metal tie cinching/ cutoff tool. I am happy with the results for my first try. Like i said i feel it fits the build vision ( what ever that seems to be on any given day.) Torchie I can refine it more if i need to. |

When i first started messing with this i used some acrylic craft paint that Mrs T had. dutch.
For this version I used some gloss Grey enamel that i had. Trying not to spend any money. Lol The acrylic dried much faster. I suspect you could use Just about any paint. Torchie |

I think that when the paint is still fresh nothing is going to Flake off. I could have waited a bit longer , dutch. The paint was still a little tacky.😳 It worked out anyways. Torchie |

Being a bit tacky might help keep it from slipping.

I'd have never thought of doing that.

I expect it will. Bama.
The tube on tube prior to the paint had no slipping around at all. Torchie |
