I posted this over on KB as well but thought I would get some of your guys' opinions as well.

I have a tired 272 Y-Block in my 55 Ford and I wanted to start piecing together a SBC. I know I know everyone has a SBC, but frankly they're a great block and i don't really care what enoyone else thinks.

So my question is, what do i need to do to get this to bolt up? The mounts, different tranny. What else do I need to keep in mind. Thanks!
Mike

Motor mounts, trans mount, drive shaft, radiator, shifter and linkage, carb linkage, may be some wiring differences, check for clearance issues, on and on and on! Not always as straight forward as you would like.
