So I've heard this preached to the inexperienced guys on a couple forums. Today I found a prime example. This was done by a rookie builder. The pics speak for themselves.

They attempted to put a camaro sub in a late 40s ford truck. My buddy and I bought it for the cab and the sub frame/engine.

Here's a pic of the rear suspension. Do you notice the very important part that's been removed? The suspension wouldn't of worked very good..

Your right! They should have put the nut on the top left bolt on the front spring hanger. Sheesh! The bolt almost fell right out! [cl

I don't believe he ever tried to drive it. I think it would of broke.

If you look in some of the pics a piece of galvanized pipe runs along the bottom of the frame. It's bolted thru everything to hold it together? And yes they removed the shackles. I guess they was trying to lower it.

I'm going to have the motor/trans and subframe for sale if anyone's interested.

That looks like a 1948-52 Ford truck frame. what I do not understand is that the early Camaro frame should have slid right inside the ford frame.

It may not be camaro, might be nova? I will have to take a better look at it. You are correct on the frame year. I wish I had pictures of the steering set up. I already scrapped it tho.

I think my 2 year old actually stuck that bolt in the hole lol.

Is the steering box behind the a arms If so its a 1967-69 Camaro or 1968-74 Nova. If the box is in front is a 70 or later Camaro

the 1967-69 Camaro and 1968-74 Nove are basically the same sub frame

I took a little better look at it today. I think it's a metric style nova.

I fixed the frame...
