Can anyone enlighten me on why these cause me so much trouble.Was doing a motor swap in a 85 blazer, the motor going in come out of a truck. I told my son to swap the mounts , he said "they are the same".Well after wrestling with it had to pull it out and do it all over again with the old mounts and it dropped right in. Got into this same thing with a Camaro. Wish they wouldn't make things look so close but but not fit.

GM basically had 2 different mount heights throughout the years. Tall and short. I went through this same thing with my chevelle and it has the style before the clam shell type. I was told it was BBC and SBC even though the spacing on the frame is the same...
