1979 Batavus

Thought I would share my latest boredom project. I bought this 1979 Batavus moped off of a family member just for fun and thought I would "freshen" it up a bit. This thing goes a blistering 30mph, and gets infinity miles per gallon. [ddd[ddd I found something that I want to use on my wagon builds, so I thought I could practice on this. I used Plasti Dip to paint this. If you haven't heard of the stuff, it truly is awesome. You can paint it to protect the original paint and if you aren't please it peals off completely without hurting the original paint. Its durable, rubber like coating. I am hooked. I have a feeling most things around my house may be Plasti Dipped soon!! lol This Moped is nearly finished other than the white wall tires I have ordered for it. Enjoy!

I love the old Batavus! Had one in high school for my paper route. Sure beat pedaling, but could be pedaled!

Maybe I originally posted this in the wrong section, maybe it should be in the Bikes, so it can be moved. Just wanted to share some pictures of the new tires. All that's left is the seat!! Still under $100 total, and still under 30mph.haha Enjoy!

I have an old gerilli (72 i think)in my parents garage I use to rip around the neighborhood when I was a kid... damn thing would never idle though.. so the goal was just never to stop!

I had been thinking about rebuilding it but I dont have the title so im not sure its worth the effort... Here in Chicago there is some pretty tricked out mopeds.. that make a hell of a noise zipping through traffic at a blistering speed of 30-35 MPH

Looking like well over a 100 worth of fun!
