One morning three Florida 'good old boys' and three Yankees were in a ticket line at the Orlando train station heading to Athens, GA for a big football game.

The three Northerners each bought a ticket and watched as the three Southerners bought just one ticket among them.

"How are the three of you going to travel on one ticket?" asked one of the Yankees.

"Watch and learn," answered one of the boys from the South.

When the six travelers boarded the train, the three Yankees sat down, but the three Southerners crammed into a bathroom together and closed the door.

Shortly after the train departed, the conductor came around to collect tickets. He knocked on the bathroom door and said, "Ticket please." The door opened just a crack, and a single arm emerged with a ticket in hand. The conductor took it and moved on.

The Yankees saw this happen and agreed it was quite a clever idea. Indeed, so clever that they decided to do the same thing on the return trip and save some money.

That evening after the game, when they got to the train station, the Yankees bought a single ticket for the return trip, while to their astonishment the three Southerners didn't buy even one ticket.

"How are you going to travel without a ticket? "asked one of the perplexed Yankees.

"Watch and learn", answered one of the Southern boys.

When they boarded the train, the three Northerners crammed themselves into a bathroom, and the three Southerners crammed themselves into the other bathroom across from it.

Shortly after the train began to move, one of the Southerners left their bathroom and walked quietly over to the Yankees' bathroom. He knocked on the door and said, "Ticket please".

Investigative sources in California say that radical Muslims are planning to go on a rampage in the city of Los Angeles killing anyone who is a U.S. citizen.

During the royal wedding, the millions around the world saw that Prince William chose to wear a uniform that included the famous British "red coat."

Many people have asked, "Why did the British wear red coats in battle?"

A long time ago, Britain and France were at war. During one battle, the French captured a British Colonel. They took him to their headquarters and the French General began to question him.

Finally, as an afterthought, the French General asked, "Why do you British officers all wear red coats?

Don't you know the red material makes you easier targets for us to shoot at?"

In his casual, matter-of-fact, way, the officer informed the General that the reason British officers wear red coats is so that if they are wounded, the blood won't show, and the men they are leading won't panic.

And that’s why, from that day forward, all French Army officers have worn brown pants.

This is my in-laws' neighbor's driveway. His wheel fell off on the highway, so he took all the messed up parts off.
This scares me just to be across the street from it. It's been like that for about a week. Oh, and the driveway slopes toward the street, of course. Those bricks are the only thing under the truck.
Alright, now who wants to climb under there and put that A-arm back on?

Oh my! We have a Suburban this gen..... a WHEEL fell off? EEEEK! Wonder if someone didn't torque down the lug nuts?
It must've been. If it was wheel bearings, I think the brake caliper would've messed things up a bit more.
What I want to know is;
Who blocks up a truck like that?
That is soooo dangerous!

Judy Wallman, a professional genealogy researcher in southern California , was doing some personal work on her own family tree.. She discovered that Senator Harry Reid's great-great uncle, Remus Reid, was hanged for horse stealing and train robbery in Montana in 1889. Both Judy and Harry Reid share this common ancestor.

The only known photograph of Remus shows him standing on the gallows in Montana territory:

On the back of the picture Judy obtained during her research is this inscription: 'Remus Reid, horse thief, sent to Montana Territorial Prison 1885,
escaped 1887, robbed the Montana Flyer six times.. Caught by Pinkerton detectives, convicted and hanged in 1889.'

So Judy recently e-mailed Senator Harry Reid for information about their great-great uncle.

Believe it or not, Harry Reid's staff sent back the following biographical sketch for her genealogy research:

"Remus Reid was a famous cowboy in the Montana Territory . His business empire grew to include acquisition of valuable equestrian assets and intimate dealings with the Montana railroad.
Beginning in 1883, he devoted several years of his life to government service, finally taking leave to resume his dealings with the railroad. In 1887, he was a key player in a vital investigation run by the renowned Pinkerton Detective Agency. In 1889, Remus passed away during an important civic function held in his honor when the platform upon which he was standing collapsed."
