I've always kinda liked the blacked out look, but with some chrome. There used to be a black 66 427 Biscayne around with the stock black poverty wheels. I loved that car. What I don't like is black windows or black tail lights or bumpers/grilles that should be chrome but are painted

In the 80's we would do the same...only with raised white letter tires

I still run white letter tires on almost everything. Only reason I don't have them on the 86 Vette was because I could find any 245/45/17" with them. Probably wasn't enough room on the sidewalls!

That's another thing I don't care for, tires with tiny sidewalls. I have to run them on the Vette because that's about all that will fit it, but I prefer a decent sidewall on a tire.

quite keen on black rims, chrome nuts look ,, have you noticed how the wrong mags will make a wheel look too small ? i noticed how coloring in white letters took over an hour in the 80's , yeah well they looked cool then. low profile tyres look good on cars that need something to make them look ok.. always liked wides with chrome caps and dress rings, white rims are cool like that too. red is ok ( ! ) but dont do color coded . old alloy are groovy but these new styles - pff some are nasty ...

big thing is they all seem to have their place and looking around they often dont seem half a bad on the right car .. which in my little world is most cars...

I don't care for black wheels. You lose all the details and they are hard to see. I went with Titanium Gunmetal.

A little busy with all those spokes, but the color does well against the red. They work well on your car while they might look funny on a 60's or 70's ride.

I think about 95% of new wheels are too busy. I never did like a bunch of fake rivets or bolts on a wheel either. 5 spokes is enough.

Colour, style, and size all depends on the car. Some just suit certain cars better, and everyone has different taste.

The wheels themselves dont fit, i think the color is fine. I went black with a painted lip. Breaks them up alittle

My cummins also has black wheels. I guess i really like them. The only thing we own that doesnt have them is my sedan. LOL

When I build my RPU it's getting black 40 Ford style steelies with blackwalls, no rings and stainless caps. Again, depends on the vehicle.

One of the things about rods that is like fingernails on a blackboard to me is a grille sticking out in the middle of nowhere past the front tires.
