I tig daily and depending on what I am working on sometimes use a pedal and sometimes not. Each way welds a little different and with a little pratice one is just as good as the other. I would recommend if you buy a tig welder at least buy one with lift start it will make things a lot easier...

I have never used that particular wire so I have no comment on it but have found there can be a big difference in wires. The better wires will give you much less problems with feeding and sticking in the tip and less splatter. Jeremy

Thanks for the ideas on the car. I had to keep the rear fenders with the suspension change the rear inner fenders had to be adjusted to fit and it looked like crud without them. The rear fenders had to be streched out 2.5" each side to make everything fit. I am still undecided what to do in the...

The car was red when I bought it and just stuck with it till the end. Also I am with the fire dept and the car reminded me of the old chiefs cars so that is what geared it towards the design on the door and the color.

A guy that works in my shop is also finishing a 40 chev. Sounds like he talked to your guys at the show last weekend. Jeremy
