Anyone have a tech Tip on installing new leaf spring pins on my 36 Ford. I had to heat and beat the old ones out. I measured the (3/4") pin OD and spring eye ID and there is a .005+ interference. I'm sure they will have to be pressed in but .005+ seems to be a lot without heat.

When pulled the engine out of my 36 I discovered under the grease and road dirt that the front cross member under the engine has some damage. It looks like some of the metal is missing and I'm not sure it it gets a full plate with just a hole in it for the spring bolt or it has a opening to...

Is the steer gear adjusted the same as a modal A? There are three places on my gear like the A model.

Thanks for all that viewed the post, I got it off/out. There is a C clip that hold the shaft at the end of the steering gear behind the light switch.

I reversed the spring on the front of my 36 this past weekend. Just as Blue Norther mentioned. "worked great! It took me about 1 hr. I plan on doing the rear this weekend. I tried the maul but decided against it after the first couple of swings!

How do I remove the center cap/switch from the steering wheel of my 36. It is original and I don 't want to break it. I probably won't use it along with a lot of other things for the rebuild but someone else might.

My front end is shot. I can't seen to find a complete front axle kit for my 36 Tudor with disc brakes. Seems everyone sells them for 32-34. king pin to king pin measures about 51 inches. Can I make a 34 fit? What is the difference? Spd Wy offered a mustang II kit or new spindles and brake parts...

My question might not be clear. I am looking to upgrade from the original type to modern type like coil over. Thanks.

Can some one help me out with some how to info or pictures on putting hydraulic shocks on my 36. Everything is stock other than I channeled the body 5". A link for parts will help also. I will probably reverse the springs eyes but keep the stock front axle. There is just not much after market...

Thanks, A few of them are within decent driving range of me. I didn't think to check metal fab. I thought the floor of my 36 would be 16 ga. I would rather work the 18ga. Eddie

I'ts been awhile since I did anything on my 36, other than cut. I have diecided to channel it after all. I now need to get my hands on some tin to add to where I cut the floor away from the body. All I can find is small 12" X 24" 16 ga sheets on line. Can someone hook me up with where I can get...
