I have most of my chop welded up and need to fill the areas and seams....What is a good body filler that wont crack?I really dont want to use lead:rolleyes:
Started putting the chop top back together tonight....
had a few issues..first I guess I cut on the wrong side of one of my cut lines...note 1/4" gap under rear window..no big deal :) I also didnt brace things as well as I figured because I had MASSIVE door gaps...used my car tie downs to...
I use my Miller (110v) with c-25 and .30 wire on 1/8 and 3/16 and on my race car roll cages with no issues. BUT it cant do 1/4 for $%it. I have it maxed out on 3/16
Nothing too exciting...cut the roof in half. I flipped the cab up on the firewall so I can clean the bottom side and weld in some reinforcement for the frame mounting area....figured now was a good time since the roof is off...thing isnt as heavy as i figured...can flip it around by myself...
Yep it was a gold comet but I am missing the emblems. Only emblems I have is the chrome top of the hood with the "f-22" emblem and the REO lettering that runs down the center. I have chopped and sectioned that grill every way I can think of on photo shop and just cant make it look good:mad:
Yep just did that:D If you look at the pics you will see a factory seam running through the roof...I am cutting right down that seam and will need to add a few inches.... I will post lots of pics[;)

Here is the UGLY hood-grill.... I am thinking 32 ford grill and no hood... Ideas?? Thoughts?? :)
I also need to make-find some "flat" springs for the vent doors... I tried making then outa wire but no workie... Any ideas on finding springs like this (this one is broken in half)
