    i think several places offer the timing gear cover like stovebolt engin co and i thought clifford used to. as far as dip stick tube sometimes thats a lot of work to find one since a lot of time they dont release w/out bending. have you tried lmc? the alt brackets are different depending on year...

    it's kind of funny how popular these have gotten to be. when i was growing up these were all my family drove. galaxies, falcons, and fairlanes in fact there was a ton of them parked behind my folks place. noone cared about them at the time. i guess the same could be said of old chevy trucks...

    i think several of them are alive and well and at the welk theater in branson, mo. at least they were a few years back. i don't think they are as old as the andrews sisters.

    Replace lifters - tips & tricks

    that permatex teflon sealent is pretty good stuff. it doesn't dry out like a lot of them. i like to use it or oil if it's a dry hole like suggested.

    cool new toy! old iron, do you ever get over to holloway industrial sales in springfield? thay have a lot of neat equipment. i like the blue early 60's chevy truck getting the place warm for the press brake.
