Interesting. Once I get car to new place I'll see if I can mechanicalize the carb, I've done it to jap carbs for dirt track. I'll keep looking about and talk to a couple of guys that fool around with turbos. I'm not chasing mega power, mainly just for shock factor

Care to share any live links? The vids I've watched all used double pumper. I'd be keen to use this vac sec as I've spent money on it. (scrooge, moneys tight.,etc) Turbo idea is really for what the heck factor. The power gain is unimportant.

Oh and forgot to add, gearbox I got wasn't a 5 speed. I was originally a bit pi$$Ed off, but box is a wide ratio Borg-Warner single rail 4 speed. Used behind some Aussie Ford V8s it should take a hammering, and adds a hint of nostalgia to the build. Also toying with the idea of putting a turbo...

Well overdue update. Myself, the wrists are basically back to how they were pre surgery. I'm not going to pursue any more therapy, just was a massive waste of time. Buick wise, it's currently in a storage unit as we're putting our house on the market. So there's going to be nothing done on it...

Yeah, it's a pain in the @$$. You get a regulated manual book/guide that you adhere to. You need it inspected by an engineer/approved inspector to get it documented. Then you get allocated a VIN, register it in your name, and get a warrant of fitness, basically a test to say its roadworthy. No...

First work on this post surgery. Made a rough bracket thing to use as a lift point. Pulled engine and box out and gave it a degrease and waterblast. Removed the remainder of the Holden engine mounts and decided to cut off the original Mitsubishi ones. Bought some second generation Mitsubishi...

No more stitches/bandages/plasters. Now left to their own devices. I might be able to do some small menial jobs done now. I don't intend to overdo it

I approve of the choice of non traditional engines, especially in line 6s. Cool. My Aussie 4.0l Ford is getting exactly the same treatment

Umm both, at once. I'm eternally grateful to have a caring loving unfallible wife. A few mare days and I'll be back to normal, I hope As you did, I too will be going back to what causes it. Unfortunately jobs aren't plentiful doing what I do so yeah, back to the grind

Yep, and de Quervains tendon release, basically same thing for thumb tendons. Not even a week after surgery, getting testy because I cant/not allowed to do anything. Can only look at internet/sudoku so much

Bandages off today. Pretty brutal and not what I thought it would look like

One last post before surgery tomorrow. Then countdown starts for getting back into it. Lift body off, remove engine, remove and replace/refabricate gearbox mount. So cheerio for now. See you on the other side

Bought some engine mounts. They are originally for a Nissan Patrol 4.2 turbo diesel. Need to gently cut 20mm off the inside edge.
