    Triangulated 4 Link Bags ?

Doing an 1-1/2" Triangulated 4 link setup in the rear with bags in my 40 Pontiac Coupe. Trying to figure out where to install the bags, front of axle, rear of axle, top of axle or on link bars, which is what the bag company recommended for best ride, looks like a cool set-up, but doesn't look...

You got any pros, cons on rear suspension setups, was thinking a trailing arm set up, but also 3 link 4 link real confusing. Here's a link I found to using 58 Poncho A arms without hacking frame maybe I can adapt a rack set up to it http://www.pontiacsafari.com/L1Garage/BallJointConversion.pdf

I hear what your saying but I really want to keep the original frame, can I remove the X ? And I'll just figure a way to work around the pockets. I'm thinking of doing a trailing arm rear suspension I waonder if that makes the X worse for me or if I can tie into it with the front arm bracket.?

Wow now that I look at that, I wonder if there will be driveshaft issues when bagging it. Is it possible to remove the X and box the frame, or not worth the effort?

I'm ready to start digging into this but I got some questions on fitment of rears, framework etc. Should I lay it all out here, separate threads for each issue, before I start my build thread. Just looking for some idea on stuff some of you guys may have already gone thru etc?

No it had the original tubular, if I remember ,straight axle in it. Then it developed a death wobble, so I put a early Chevy van solid, I beam straight axle in it. It had a factory drop to it, so it lowered the front really nice. It was free and a direct bolt in.

So in 1940 there was a 25 series and a 26 series, was the 26 a true coupe or a 2 door sedan ? I was surprised to see mine had a small rear seat, where in my 39 chevy Coupe, it was available only in a business coupe with no back seat or the little jump sets from what I understand, not sure on...
