    anyone with ink

My new tat Just had this finished up last week. I need one more for my chest to round out my vintage drag racing theme. I'm looking at doing something like this: Anyone here have any images similar. Something of a straight on view of a dragster with the parachute open. Thanks, Andrew

So do you drink while you wrench?

Mmmmm Beer The only time I drink beer in my garage is when I'm cleaning it, never when I'm working on projects Andrew

    Show me you shock mounts.

Shock Mounts Here's a few pics of what I ended up making for shock mounts, just need shorter shocks now. Andrew

My first tattoo Just got my first tattoo a few days ago and have one more session to have it finished up. The engine in the picture I provided was a hemi but I wanted a flathead. I kind of ended up with a flemi (flathead+hemi), but it's still damn cool and can't wait to get it finished up. Andrew

    BMW M3 with a Chevy 350 engine

This isn't what you're expecting but it's interesting. A buddy sold a Chevy 350 engine to this guy and he showed up in a BMW M3 to pick it up. I didn't think we could get it in his car, even with the seat out, but we did. I hope he makes his 250 mile drive home OK. Andrew

What Did Ya Get Done This Weekend?

Finally got the heads on this Studebaker engine. After the cam regrind, I didn't have enough adjustment in the rocker arms. Instead or ordering new push rods, I'm trying out valve lash caps. It's ready to drop back in now and I can get started on fabricating the supercharger bracket. I also...

    Engine pictures

Any additional info/pics of this engine I love this dual supercharger setup and would like to do something similar to a flathead I'm building for a dragster. Does anyone have any additional photos or info on this engine. I know it would be a bit overkill running two superchargers, but it looks...

    Flat head 8

I guess it depends on what you consider "fuel efficient". I've heard of flatheads getting 20 mpg + in a heavy car. I imagine if you back it up with a transmission with overdrive you’d get good freeway mileage. I drive a 1965 Chevy C-10, and with it's inline 6, I only get 10mpg. Come on Tripper...

    1942 Ford Truck Build

It's been a bit since I posted on RRR. Now that I have a roller it's time I posted a few pics. I just finished up the front suspension, which was the most challenging part of building the frame. I'm not sure I like the front shock angle and there's little travel room (Ya, I miss calculated). I...

    DIY Suicide Door Hinges

I drilled and tapped the backside of the hinges for a threaded stud. Drilled a few holes in the cab/door and added a backing plate and bolted them on.

Is a fuel return line needed?

I'm building a 64 Studebaker Avanti R2 clone engine and I'm switching it from mechanical to electric fuel pump (4–12psi). I will also be running a Paxton supercharger and installing a boost reference regulator. My question is, with such low psi, is a fuel return line necessary? Thanks, Sid

    DIY Suicide Door Hinges

I didn't like the style (and cost) of new door hinges so I made my own out of 1/4" steel bar. I think they turned out pretty good for my limited tools and skill. Sid

How to braze or solder sheet metal to brass

Yes, it's the air intake. I'll either add butterfly valves or maybe something that looks like a shell and cutout the underside for air flow. Sid
