Out of the Ordinary Frame Paint/Coating

I am doing a 64 Ford F-100 SWB Slick in a Retro Style and I am looking for any/all out of the ordinary frame and associated parts paint/coating ideas. I do not want to go with the usual blacks (flat, semi, or gloss) but am thinking something much like the way a used frame looks - rusty/patina...

Thanks for all the comments... I have decided to keep it on (for now) and try it out with the overall build and see how it blends in. I will make my final decision sometime out in the future....

To Stay or Not - Lower Rightside Toolbox Inset

I am trying to decide if I should leave the low right side toolbox inset or remove and patch the hole? I am also wanting to leave the exterior paint and patina as is so that obviously factors in my decision and how to deal with that if I do go with the patch? I will be removing the aluminum bed...

    64 Ford F100 Lowering

Blue Eyed Devil Talked to Sid at great length today. He is making me a 3" Drop Front Axle now and helped me understand all the other pieces to the puzzle. Good thing is that he drives a 64 Ford F100 Fleetside as his daily driver and it is lowered with the same pieces. A good tip - Thank You!!!

    46 Chevy Trucks

05snopro440 Thank you for the GM Vehicle Information Link - very helpful indeed. I measured the bed on the 46 and it measures as a 47-54 as you indicated. I will probably still use it because it is going to be a Ratrod of sorts and still have the look I want (I think?) but that remains to be...

    64 Ford F100 Lowering

Soltz Thank you.. that was what I had researched and thought would give me the look I want for a reasonable price. I know it is not the same as a complete frame swap/built or a front-end exchange but it is where I want to be for this specific truck. I am not keeping it for long and not trying...

    64 Ford F100 Lowering

Looking for thoughts on economically lowering a 64 Ford F100 SWB and not with major frame modifications? Would like to hear what the experiences have been and if there are any good threads here to look at for ideas? Thanks.

40 chevy truck, neighbor hood find

40 Chevy Truck Inspired Harley Rider Update! Because of seeing your 40 Chevy build project I have gone ahead and picked up a 40 Chevy that was just north of me. A complete truck with original running gear in her (she runs as well). I will put her in line with my 46s as another project to be...
