    1937 Packard 115 coupe

Backwards déjà vu (uv ejad?) I did the same on my 38 Desoto frame 5 years ago. Was going for a bit of an industrial look, but I've never really been sold on it... ZZ's looks a lot better, maybe the proportions are different enough that it looks a little more fitting?

Can you just use an older, direct installed version of AutoCAD? I use AutoCAD 2004 or 2013 with my Torchmate table... Come to think of it, The AutoCAD 2020 I use at work is all setup with no interaction with the cloud. Kind of has to be that way with the third world internet we have here in...

    No more holden!?!?!?!

Pretty sad. My dad was a Holden man - most of the family cars we had when I was a kid are now considered classics. Back then they were just good, locally made cars. On the other side of the coin, pretty much as soon as this news came out Ford stated that they'd be committing a heap of...

SHOTROD 1950ISH 5 window chevy truck

When we build rear-engine rockcrawlers we cut the steering knuckles off the axles, flip the whole lot upside down and weld the knuckles back on. Usually have to move the rear diff right to one side (one very short axle tube) to clear the engine/trans. They end up slightly weaker as you are now...

    Custom Mopar ????

Looks real good. Out of curiosity, what do you plan to use to grind/sand the internal corner under the window once the welding is finished? I always have trouble getting internal welded seams to look right... The joint between the window frame (white paint) and infill strip (new steel) in...

    1937 Packard 115 coupe

Did the shafts slide in easy? Sometimes when you shorten a housing without an alignment bar, they're a bit fiddly to get in. The seals generally don't last very long on those ones :D

    CAD programs?

I've been using AutoCAD professionally for about 25 years. It is unbelievably awesome, but incredibly expensive :( I do use Draftsight on a Linux machine I have occasionally, it's free and pretty damn good. I can't think of anything you'd need to do to produce brackets and such that it wouldn't...
