    Pandemic

When the pandemic hit and shut everything down, I hadn't driven my cars except to keep up the batteries. I sold my cars just in case anything happens to me so my wife wouldn't have to go through the pain of selling them. When the Government sent out the first stimulus check, I was pretty well...

    Netflix

Back in '88, there was a TV show called "High Risk". If you have Netflix, go to Reality TV Shows and find "High Risk", which is one of the last shows. Season 1, episode 5, you will see me stopping a suspected car thief. Turns out, it was a car repossession. I'm at the 9:00 mark with my partner...

    YouTube is great!

I'll be damned. The headlights on my truck were so yellowed, I looked at a YouTube video on ow to clean it. Sandpaper, a little elbow grease and some clear, the look as good as new. Then my daily driver needed new wiper blades. New or old, they always squeaked and skipped. Back to YouTube and...

    Insane Money

Funny how the rich drive up prices of collector cars because $100,000 is like $20 to normal people. In this economy, some of the prices at Barrett Jackson are insane . I sold my '65 Biscayne to a neighbor a few years ago. It was all new. Motor, trans, rear end, chrome and interior. The...

    Insurance Nightmare

Just opened the paper this morning and there is an article in the South Bay Daily Breeze about a car enthusiast suing Essential Car Insurance. His '69 Camaro, which was undergoing a restoration, was stolen from his driveway. Not only did his insurance company accuse him of selling the car and...

A lady in my neighborhood saw a car she didn't recognize drive down the street. She copied down the plate number and notified the local P.D.. Detectives went to the suspects house and watched. They saw the suspect come out and catch a bus to my neighborhood. The suspect was observed knocking on...

    Ebay Fraud Suspect Caught

A while back, a lady bought some Disneyland tickets on Ebay. When she met the guy, she bought several tickets but took a picture of him. When she went to Disneyland with her group, they discovered the tickets were counterfeit. Her group pooled their money and went anyway. When she got home, she...

    1965 Chevy Biscayne

Back in '65, Chevy sold a Biscayne with a "Drag Pack" option. It was a 425 hp 396 with a 4 speed. I found one years ago, all original but the price was $75K. It was then, I decided to build my own. I found my car in San Diego. It was a 283 and 3 speed. The owner had repainted the car but having...

    1963 Pontiac Grand Prix

This is my '63 Grand Prix. The motor is a 389, rebuilt to GTO specs. I had to replace the Slim Jim with a 350th. The car was also repainted 13 years ago, but other than those things, she's all original. I did have to fix the A/C though and now she perfect.

    Corvette People

My wife and I had breakfast at Ruby's Diner Saturday morning. A Corvette club was having a car show, so after we ate, we walked around. Since they were still setting up, there weren't that many cars yet. But one lady attracted our attention. (Note last picture) She's pulling pebbles from her...

Went for a drive to the Edelbrock Show

I decided to drive my Pontiac to the Edelbrock Show, but not enter as it was $50. The show started at 10 am so I got there at 9 am. I figured to take video/photos of the cars arriving. The area around the show was so packed with car trailers :(, I didn't want to leave my car several blocks away...

    A Simpler Time

On some forums, I noticed some people have no regards for laws, rules or neighbors. Today, I saw an old Candid Camera, harkening back to a simpler time, where people actually read signs and obeyed them.......no matter how ridiculous. High School Prom & Friends

Way back in '69, I was working in a Mobil gas station after school. The prom was coming up and my coworkers asked me what car I was taking to the prom. I told them I was driving my '64 Bug. One guy had a '67 GYX and the other guy had a '67 Camaro. They said, "You can't take a Bug, take one of...

    Who Knew?

I just received an e-mail from an old street racing buddy that I've stayed in touch with. Another mutual friend had gone to the Drag Races with his Vega and ran into Larry Dixon Jr. Apparently, Larry Dixon was talking about an interview he had given. When asked who was the most intimidating at...

Any of the old farts on here attending the Senior Games in a city or town near you? They are having our games in Pasadena, Ca. My buddy, who is 66, got the gold medal in his age and weight group, for push-ups. He did 87. Yesterday, he cranked out 133 but now his shoulder is hurting. I'm hoping...
