Low and dirty 33 chevy master sedan 4 door

I'm back at it. I haven't posted in a while. Trying to get her road worthy this fall/winter so that I can title and register it. Here are some updates. It runs and drives. I've pulled it around the driveway a few times and I'm now working on glass templates and door panels. I think I've...

Where do you mount your batteries? Need ideas...

Excellent. Thank you guys. I'm second guessing my placement in the back now. I need to minimize length. I think I'll create an enclosure in the front by the engine and use the back for the fuel tank. Thanks for looking up the 7.3 current draw, Doc.

Where do you mount your batteries? Need ideas...

If I run the batteries to the back, it would be a 14' to 16' run to the front of the engine depending on the route. What gauge cable would I use? Would I run 10gauge? I like the idea of putting a set of terminals or quick connects up front for access. I think I'll do that.

Where do you mount your batteries? Need ideas...

Its a 4 door sedan, low-slung. I have a space behind the rear seats in front of the rear-mounted radiator. Im also thinking keg tank next to the engine in front. Maybe a fuel cell inside the back deck for fuel and then a keg with a door for the batteries up front to the side of the engine? I...

Where do you mount your batteries? Need ideas...

On my 33 Chevy, I'm trying to decide where to mount a fuel tank and where to mount my 2 batteries (donor was a F350 with 2 batteries). My floor is very thin (4" frame on the ground + 2 inches under the floor skin) The 2 ideas I'm bouncing around are shelf behind rear seat, or build an enclosure...

That's a lot of work. Good and steady progress there. I love watching this slowly come together.

Thanks guys. I notionally understood the mechanics. I think I completely overestimated the front air bags themselves. Some of the ebay sellers list the DII-2600 as 2600 lbs, and the DII-2500 as 2500 lbs. I just found a good spec on them that completely differs from that. The 2600 maxes out...

Low and dirty 33 chevy master sedan 4 door

I'm not happy at all with the travel of the front suspension. I'm trying like crazy to be able to have a 4 link and keep 4 wheel drive, as well as be able to drop this thing to the ground. I set the pinion angle at the lowest point, but figured I had enough adjustment in the links to adapt to...

Rear air bag mounts... Rear works pretty well. Not as much clearance as I hoped. It looks like about 8 inches or so. I might need to raise the lowest point. Put on jack stands and started cleaning up wheel well area with a piecemeal arch. Front suspension air bag mounts...

Low and dirty 33 chevy master sedan 4 door

Worked on motor mounts Then worked on front suspension 4 link arms and attachment tabs... Dropped body on top and fab'd body mounts (6 of them). I liked the ones from the truck. Unfortunately, all 6 had different size bolts: width and bolt head and length. Weird. I had to cut...

Also, the pumpkin for this f350 is really huge and offset.

If I move the upper axle mounts, there isn't mush of an angle for the uppers. Should the upper front mounts go outwards instead of inwards? In which case, I probably need to mount them a bit higher than the frame at those points.
