    Hello all. I have a chance to get a '39 International truck. It is a 1.5 ton. Any pictures of one similar done up as rat rod? Maybe just the cab on a lighter frame etc. Any builds on here? Thanks in advance. Perley

    I recently got a 1965 Chevy 283 engine. Now I need to figure out what I want to do with it! First thing I'm wondering is --- what is possible and why. Next thing is what have any of you done with your own 283? And did it work for you? I am not really hung up on squeezing the last possible...

    I beam front axle

    Hello everyone. I wonder what was the last year(s) to find a solid (I beam) front axle under a vehicle? I am looking for one and don't know up to what year(s) I might expect to find one. Thanks. perley :)

    gas tank

    OK guyz, has anyone here rebuilt a compressor air tank into a gas tank? I have a 15 gallon tank from a Craftsman compressor, and I'd like to use it for my gas tank, but need ideas on gauge sender, fill, vent, pickup, etc. If anyone has done one such, please reply. perley

    Transmission help

    Hello all. I have a question (or two)! I removed an overdrive auto transmission from a chevy S-10 p/u that had a 4.3 L engine. Now I'm thinking about getting a 283 engine. Will that tranny hold up behind the 283? I think it is a 4160 (?). thanks, perley

    brakes/front end

    I have a front beam axle from a '49 Ford F1. It has drum brakes (original) now. I would like to remove the ford hubs and all and replace them with Chevrolet 5 x 4 3/4 inch pattern, still have drum brakes (chevy). Anyone know what chevy hubs and bearings and stuff would fit on the Ford...
