Well I hadn't been here in a couple of weeks. No wifi . The move is over and all my "stuff" has been moved 225 miles. Back in the old home town of Brent, Al. I was worried about moving the air compressor and it turned out to be a piece of cake with a uhaul and a tractor with a front end loader...

Well the move is on. Sold the house and moved all the contents. I have 2 more weeks to get all the shop stuff moved out. Moving Studebaker truck/Ratrod this week. I haven't tackled the air compressor yet but will this week. I'm going to get a Uhaul so I don't think I will have a problem standing...

I'm back to my home town, Brent, Al. about 50 miles south of Birmingham. About a 200 mile move.

We just got wifi back. Got power Friday. No damage to the house but lost several big trees and some fence damage. Feeling really blessed because we are closing on the sale of the house in 2 weeks. I was really afraid the storm might hold up the sale but we are good to go.

Just in case any of you guys close to the Gulf Coast aren't paying attention, we're throwing a hurricane. Due to come close to me early in the morning. We're hunkered down waiting.

I bought a set of 16's off of a wrecked Nissan to put on my Tacoma. The center hole was too small. I went to take the the tire off the Nissan rims and couldn't do it on my changer because of the back set of the wheels.

Bama, I knew a guy years ago in Centreville that had a 56 GMC truck he pulled a lowboy to haul his HD16 dozier. The truck had what I thought was a GMC "Jimmie" diesel engine. If I remember right it was V6 with a big old blower on it.

Yeah, Bama Moving back to Brent where I grew up. Maybe we can meet up after I get moved. It's always good to have a friend with a dump truck.

I have a large upright air compressor that is very top-heavy. I am moving in the next couple of months and need to move it about 200 miles. Would there be any problem with laying it down to haul on a trailer? Thanks in advance.

Mine is all manual. No air. It hasn't failed me yet but will wear an old man out.

I went to a Mule show in Tenn. years ago. They had pulling contests and used concrete blocks as weights on the sleds. They just kept adding blocks until the couldn't pull anymore.

I've got an all manual one that I use a lot. Saves money on tire changes.

Check and make sure you have it grounded good.

How's the price for us tightwads?
