How do I hook up a o/d tranny ? Does it need some sort of computer/ switch ?

Hey guys right now I'm working on my 45 dodge pickup sub floor frame and I need some ideas on how to get over the hump "transmission " /drive line, or should I just avoid making any bars across and only go parallel with the drive train. Show me what you have done please!!!

Any ideas? I have the cab just about mounted in the correct spot, it's a short bed dodge and the gmc is about foot to long should I move the rear axle forward or cut the frame and reweld it?

Hey guys new here just thought I'd share my truck and all the work that's went into it so far. It's a 1945 dodge pickup 1/2 ton going on a 89 3/4 ton gmc chassis. So far I have braced the door jams and cut the floor out so I can build a sub floor frame. Wow its a lot of work lol.
